Education Program

Carol Holmes is the Education Counselor for the community of Wahta Mohawks.  She has been employed by Wahta Mohawks for over 11 years, and has served the education program for 10 years.  Carol has lived in the community all her life, and has made a home in Wahta with her husband and two children.  The education program offers flexible community based programs geared to the current needs of the community.   We have offered fantastic opportunities such as a university credited full time language program, general education diploma program (GED), career symposiums, homework assistance and tutoring.   Although the flexibility is available, certain areas remain constant.   These areas include; support to elementary and secondary students and parents, language learning opportunities, and post secondary opportunities.   The education program promotes self- sufficiency and empowerment in the services it provides.
